Below are some of the customers that NV Enterprises, Inc. has had the privilege to serve over the years.

General Services Administration

I would like to commend the firm of NV Enterprises, Inc. (NVE) for their continuous and outstanding customer service in operations and maintenance for my former organization, Triangle Services Center-General Services Administration. I worked very closely with NVE since 2001 when they received a "one year with 4 option years" contract to operate and maintain the facility known as the Bowie Computer Center (BCC). The BCC is largely a mission-critical data center run by the General Services Administration (GSA) in support of the Bureau of the Census. The facility houses computer mainframes dedicated to generating data for the Federal government.

During this contract, which continued beyond 2005, GSA was challenged by the Census to operate the BCC with absolutely no interruption in service, regardless of weather conditions, outside power quality, or building equipment. Since the facility had numerous, serious equipment flaws, this was no small feat. NVE brought to us an extraordinary amount of technical talent, especially in the power protection area, and this enabled us to continually improve the facility reliability. They supported the customer in accomplishing their mission.

NVE always performed with a positive attitude and they instilled this in every member of their staff. They clearly understood the requirements of the customer, Census, and their unique demands for strong communications and controlled operations. NVE possessed a high degree of public relations skill and they used it to gain the confidence of the customer. They did this by being personally involved in the day-to-day operations of the facility. NVE's leadership brought together a team of qualified, well trained managers and operators who took the critical nature of this facility seriously. They became a key member of the GSA, Census, and Contractor team. They treated every occupant with respect and continuously gave prompt attention to any deficiency affecting the occupant's ability to perform their work.

Some of the unique methods employed by NVE to meet the customer's demands included regular weekly meetings to review project and facility status; daily reports to the customer on equipment condition;, detailed plans and reviews for any repair or maintenance functions; use of specialists in every equipment repair or maintenance situation. NVE also took initiative to develop ways of presenting reports and status so that everyone understood the repair and operating situation.

NVE was very cooperative in all aspects of this contract. Their leadership was always available by phone or e-mail (24/7) and they participated personally in this contract. They tended to build strong customer relationships with GSA and the Census management and this was critical to making the contract a success. This customer-focus allowed the existence of a team-like environment where everyone worked together to make the BCC a strong facility.

Regardless of the demands placed by the occupants and GSA, NVE always kept a positive attitude and focused on meeting those demands. thanks to their support, the facility made continuous improvement in both performance and in reliability.
